Out again: customers count their Spectrum outages
Friday afternoon's sharpest posts were about outages that keep coming back. One customer shared Spectrum's email saying 'Your service is down again, but we're on it' after outages last Saturday and Monday, and another told Spectrum it was the third outage of the month.
The email promised service back by 3:00 PM with an update by 2:00 PM; a later one said the team was still working, 'now by 6:00 PM.' The same customer said Spectrum only gives credit if you call and demand it. Others described the pattern their own way: the internet acting up 'every 2 to 3 business days', 'Spectrum is out AGAIN', and a question about how wind causes an outage. Spectrum's support account answered with private-message offers and, in one case, a suggestion to reset the equipment in the My Spectrum app. Longer outages left people stuck. A Litchfield County, Connecticut customer asked why customers had gone 14 hours without internet or phone and declined to DM; Spectrum said it needed an account number or address. Another customer, out for more than 12 hours, said the app wouldn't work without Wi-Fi and the store told them to 'cancel it then.'
“No need. You have the third outage for the month.”
